No, Randy Pierce won't be stopping by woods on a snowy evening...but he'll be stopping by bookstores, libraries, festivals, conferences and more to sign copies of Magnolia Mud this spring! And he indeed has miles to go before he sleeps!

The Magnolia Mud tour officially gets started at Lemuria in Jackson, Mississippi, on Tuesday, April 1. Yep, that's April Fool's Day. But it's nonetheless a great day to mark on your calendar!

The first printing has arrived...

...and Randy is already wearing out a few signing pens!

In the meantime, author John M. Floyd's short story, "Hunters," is the first story featured in the May, 2014 edition of the widely-read Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine. A typically compelling Floyd short story, and great exposure for one of the best writers of short fiction in the business. John is a regular contributor to Woman's World with his Charles "Chunky" Jones/Angela "Angel" Potts mystery/solution series of humorous stories, and on that front, we have big news: Dogwood Press will publish a collection of 50 Angela/Chunky stories this fall, just in time for Christmas! Lots of John's loyal readers have asked if one of his collections would ever be devoted to Chunky/Angela stories, and now the answer is YES!!! Details to follow...

John recently gave a talk and sold copies of his hardback collections to the Brandon Book Club in Rankin County, MS.

And this is really neat: Valerie Winn had a successful Skype session with a book club in Pennsylvania. They were interested in Forsaking Mimosa, and technology was the way to bridge the 1,000-mile-plus gap between Valerie and her fans from the Keystone State!

Also, my next book is called Director's Cut. It's the fifth volume of my Oakdale series and will debut in October. I had great fun with this one: it's about a mild-mannered professor of film study at the local university who turns out to be a serial killer!

Let's see...Oakdale novels...old money, crazy people, skeletons in every closet, people all up in each other's business. That sounds like a winning formula! All I have to do now is learn how to type!!!
